AI-made adventure games

An adventure game puts the player in the role of a protagonist in an interactive story, driven by exploration and puzzle solving. The core loop is to explore a location, collect and use items, talk to characters, and solve the puzzle that opens the next area. Colossal Cave Adventure (1976) pioneered the genre, and Zork and Myst are well-known later examples.

Adventure games are mostly about state rather than physics. The code tracks an inventory, unlocked areas, dialogue choices and solved puzzles. Text adventures add a parser that turns typed commands into actions, while point-and-click games map clicks to objects on screen.

Saves matter here. On the web, localStorage keeps small saves after the browser closes, while IndexedDB is built for larger amounts of structured data, such as many scenes or images.
