The quickest way to get players for a game is to send your own. The creator program pays that back with exposure: a Verified creator tick, turns in the Spotlight and your videos on game pages.

Post your game's page where your players are. They can play it and rate it, and their ratings decide where it ranks.

How verification works
About once a week we look at each listed game's own pages: the play page, the GitHub README and the creator links on its entry. When one of them links to the game's page here, or shows its badge, the game gets a Verified creator tick next to the creator's name. Take the badge down and the tick goes at the next check.
The badge also counts as your permission to play the game in our player, right on its page here. Take it down and, from the next check, the game opens on your site again.
- The badge code is on every game page, under "Made this game?", as HTML for a website and Markdown for a README.
- Any link to the game's page counts, followed or nofollow. How you link is up to you.
- We read the page's HTML as it's served. A page that adds its links with JavaScript can hide them from us, so put the badge in the HTML or in the README.
- A game that can't run in a frame, or that shows ads of its own, opens on the creator's site either way.
The Spotlight
Verified games take turns in the Creator spotlight row on the home page, with a new mix every day. The row shows up once 3 games qualify.
A game in the Spotlight is labeled Spotlight. It keeps the same rating and the same place in every ranking, because rankings come only from player votes.
For YouTubers and streamers
Play any game from the catalog on video and put the link to its page here in the description. Every week we look for new videos that link to game pages. After a review, the video shows on that game's page under "Watch it played", with its title and your channel name, and it opens on YouTube.
- The video has to show the game being played. Up to four videos go on a game's page.

- A place on our pages is exposure, so follow your platform's rules on disclosing it.

What to share
Link the game's page rather than the game itself. The page has the play button, the screenshots and the rating widget, so a player who likes the game can rate it right away. Submit your game through the submit page and, when it goes live, you get an email with share links, a ready post and the badge code.
Ask players to rate the game, not to rate it high. The rankings are only useful if the votes are honest.
What we never do
- Sell a rating, a rank or a place in a list.
- Move a game up because its creator links here.
- Ask for a followed link, or for keywords in the link.
