Dungeon Cast is a 2.5D dungeon crawler drawn the old-school way, with raycasting. That is the technique behind 90s corridor games like Wolfenstein 3D: walls are drawn as pseudo-3D slices, and you move through the dungeon from a first-person view.
The engine is a deliberate choice. For Vibe Jam 2026, the creator, GraslT, built a 2.5D game in Phaser, a 2D engine. That meant skipping a dedicated 3D library, which is the more common route for a game like this. It was built with Claude Code and placed 245th of 945 entries in the jam's ranking.
What you get is a retro look produced by a 2D engine, and a single-player dungeon adventure to explore and work through in first person that loads instantly, right in the browser.
