About the game
Heroes who fell before reaching Valhalla wake up on Hjartaminni, an island outside time, and you lead a party of four of them across it. Your party can hunt on its own, and you take over for bosses, campaign battles and PvP.
Seven classes and 35 heroes, five per class from Common to Legendary. Eight runes per class, four equipped on each hero, with fusion up to level 5. Memory Sparks, which turn duplicate heroes into backstory and a higher level cap. A ten-stage campaign across Sigrava's Isle, with dark dungeons in the first four. Offline Mode, so your party keeps hunting while the game's closed. Live 4v4 PvP rooms and friendly duels with players you meet in the field.

Make a free account with email or Google, then pick a stage on the map and walk it yourself or switch on Auto. Summon new heroes with Ember earned from hunts, quests and battles, or buy Ember from other players at the Millennial Fair. The only summon you pay for is the limited Founder's Wish.
According to the team, AI wrote most of the code, from the web client to the backend and the live PvP, while the game design is their own. It's free to play and still in alpha.

Midgard Arena is an anime idle MMORPG made by a small indie team. AI wrote most of the code, mainly with Claude Code: the React web client, the backend and live 4v4 PvP. We used ChatGPT, Kling and ElevenLabs across code, art, animation and audio. The game design is ours: 7 classes, 35 heroes, 56 runes, Memory Sparks, a 10-stage campaign, offline hunting and a player-run market. Free to play, no pay-to-win, currently in alpha.

Questions
Can I play Midgard Arena with friends?
Yes. It has online multiplayer, so friends can join from their own computer without being in the same room. It isn't listed for phones, though.
