About Arkanoid Neon
Arkanoid Neon is a brick breaker in glowing neon. You steer a paddle along the bottom of the screen, launch the ball and knock out the bricks above, where silver blocks take several hits and gold ones cannot be destroyed at all.
Falling capsules change how the paddle and ball behave. There are seven: a wider paddle, a slower ball, catch-and-aim, twin lasers, a triple ball, an extra life and a portal in the right wall that skips to the next round. Eight levels, from Rainbow to Fortress, loop at a faster pace afterward.
Particle bursts, shockwaves, screen shake and ball trails give hits weight, and the synthwave soundtrack is generated live. The creator states that Claude Opus 5.5, working through Claude Code, made all of the code, graphics, sound, music and levels from a single one-sentence request. It is plain JavaScript with Canvas 2D and Web Audio, and a fan project inspired by Taito's Arkanoid.
