About BeetleJump

BeetleJump is a 3D climbing platformer with one goal: get your beetle to the top of a towering course and claim the title of king. Every jump on the way up the course is precarious, and each attempt comes down to timing and precision.

The creator, assentorp, came up with it after looking at other jam entries and wanting to try a challenge of their own. Built with Claude Code on Three.js, with online multiplayer and phone support, it won the Rage-Quit Award at Vibe Jam 2026 and came 20th of 945.

The design draws on kz_giantbean, a jump-focused climbing map from Counter-Strike, and keeps that map's demanding, unforgiving style: a missed landing can drop you back down and cost you the progress you made.
