STARCHART
Fly routes between generated stars and keep each route as a permanent constellation
About STARCHART
You pilot a ship from star to star, spending flux and hull on each jump. Every star's shape shows what it does: a forge repairs the hull, a shrine takes flux, a nebula is a gamble, and a twin wreck offers a choice.
Each voyage starts at one of three gates in the sector. You pick how far to jump, then decide when to stop. Setting anchor ends the run and banks your route. Closing the route into a loop seals the constellation and doubles its grant, but pushing on risks going adrift.
Every voyage, even a failed one, becomes a named constellation in your atlas. Its dominant family gives a permanent bonus: extra hull, starting flux, jump range, better salvage, a hazard ward, or more flux from shrines. Nothing resets. Re-flying a charted route deepens its line instead of copying it.
Four sectors open as the atlas fills: The Verge from the start, The Drift at 5 inscriptions, The Hollow Crown at 12, and The Long Dark at 21. Stars, charts and names are all drawn by code, with synthesized sound that can be switched off. Progress saves on every arrival, so closing the tab mid-voyage resumes where you left off. A run takes about half an hour.
