About Reach the Relay

You lead a party across the ruins of an AI apocalypse, and the VIP in your care has to survive the whole trip. Reach the Relay is a turn-based RPG that opens every run with a choice of three routes, then takes you through the encounters on that path until the VIP reaches the Relay.

The design draws on Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and the Temple Trekking activity from OSRS. It was made with Claude Code on Phaser, and it finished 65th of 945 in Vibe Jam 2026.

Fights use the active time battle style of SNES-era role-playing games, so turns carry a real-time flavor instead of strict alternation. Because the route you pick shapes what you face along the way, the strategy starts before the first fight.
