Hero Nearby
Run through a neighborhood as a developer and fix people's tech problems.
About Hero Nearby
In Hero Nearby you play a developer running through a neighborhood and fixing people's tech problems on the way. It is a 2D endless runner: residents need help with everyday bugs, and you step in to fix them while avoiding the obstacles in your path.
The idea comes from Informatici di Quartiere, an Italian non-profit association that helps local communities with technology through education, workshops and educational video games. The story follows that mission with a playful tone in a casual arcade format.
The humor pokes at programmer stereotypes. Developers get asked to fix everything, printers included, and they face the eternal enemy of cable management. It came out of Vibe Jam 2026, where it came 465th of 945, and it plays on phones as well as desktop.
