Sketching Fish

Sketching Fish is a one-button fishing game set in a child's crayon sketchbook. You cast a line, then click or press Space in time with a shrinking ring to land the fish. Each catch takes about ten seconds, and every fish follows one of 11 beat patterns, so you learn to feel the rhythm before you tap.

The 75 fish are named after stationery, such as the Pencil Eel, Eraser Shark, and Clip Anchovy, and each comes with its own joke. They are spread across a lake, a sea, and a foggy swamp, and the later pages unlock as you fill the book. Fish fight in different ways, from slippery to dashing to ghostly rings. Three legendary fish, coins, rods, baits, 36 achievements, and an ending for a full book give you goals beyond the catch.

The creator says the code, including every drawing routine, was written with Claude, and the three background tracks were composed with Google Gemini. No image files are used; the wobbly crayon art is drawn by code as you play. The game offers Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese text.
