About Cursor Bug Detective

Each day brings one case on a 3D developer's desk, and a round lasts about 90 seconds. You play the Cursor mascot as a detective, scanning the props around the desk to collect clues.

The clues arrive as ciphers, which you decode through four mini-puzzles. Once the evidence adds up, you name the bug to close the case.

The creator modeled the loop on daily word games, which ask for one short session per day, and chose a bug hunt because finding bugs is what most developers do all day. The desk was built by hand, and the mascot gets a story beyond serving as a logo.

The creator also points to a few further games with new and retro themes to explore alongside the daily case.
