About Waifu Mercs
Waifu Mercs is a third-person zombie shooter built for two people sharing one screen. Each of you plays a mercenary with your own half of a split-screen view, and together you fight off crowds of undead from behind the shoulder as the pressure builds.
The split screen is the core idea. The creator wanted a couch-style co-op game to play with their wife, and that goal shapes the whole design, down to each player having their own view of the fight. It was built in Three.js with Claude Code, and it finished 36th of 945 in Vibe Jam 2026.
The combat pairs the tense over-the-shoulder aiming of survival horror with the horde-clearing loop of survivor-style games, and the waves keep the pace fast and casual for both players.
