About Ombres

In Ombres, each player steers a giant bird whose shadow paints the desert sand in their color, and the biggest territory at nightfall wins. It is a local party game for 1 to 12 players: the game runs in a browser on a computer connected to a screen, and everyone flies from a phone after scanning a QR code. Bots fill empty seats, so one phone is enough.

The look follows the ink outlines and flat colors of Moebius. According to the repository, Claude Opus 5.5 designed and built it from a single brief, with Brieuc Crosson supervising. The model wrote all of the code, in multi-agent workflows in Claude Code.

Altitude is the tactic: diving low gives a small, strong shadow, and climbing gives a wide, pale one that cannot repaint strong sand. You can strike a lower bird by diving onto it, though it can dodge with a wingbeat. A match is three rounds of about two minutes, the last counting double, and as the sun sets the shadows stretch until night sweeps across the map and locks everything in place.
