VibeOS is a browser-based hacking simulator dressed up as a fake desktop operating system. You sit at a virtual machine and take on hacking jobs where the stakes are high, and the tension comes from working through each intrusion, one job at a time.
The creator says the project grew out of the Vibe Jam and the vibe coding community on X. Seeing other people share their games and projects made them wonder whether they could do the same. They built it with Cursor, and it ended up 32nd of 945 entries in Vibe Jam 2026.
Its Three.js base points to a presentation that goes beyond a plain text terminal. It supports multiplayer, and a session can start from a phone as well as a desktop.
