KOLO

KOLO turns the Glagolitic script, the alphabet historically used for Old Slavic, into a code to crack. Each round hides a word, and you work it out by reading and matching the ancient characters, alone or in multiplayer rounds with other people, on desktop or on a phone.

The game draws on Old Slavic mythology and Slavic heritage, subjects the creator felt were largely absent from modern games. The creator used Lovable and describes the goal as making the study of history feel like winning a round of a social game.

You learn the script by playing it: progress comes from recognizing the symbols and solving the puzzles, one hidden word at a time. It is a puzzle game, a word game and an educational one all at once.
